The Grizzler is the apex of the Rone Creek lineup — a 2 lb hand-forged axe that balances brute force with savage precision. On one side, a polished cutting edge honed for serious chopping power. On the other, a curved, sharpened spike blade, giving you piercing strength when you need more than a swing.
Its head is forged from 5160 spring steel, renowned for its toughness, edge retention, and ability to withstand punishing impact. Polished to a gleaming finish, it’s as brutal in performance as it is striking in appearance.
The handle is carved from American hickory, then hand-burnt, hand-finished, and shaped for grip and control. Every mark in the grain is unique, every contour touched by a craftsman’s hand — no two Grizzlers are the same.
A handmade leather sheath guards both edges, keeping the blade secure until the work begins. And unlike mass-market tools, the Grizzler is made entirely in-house at Rone Creek — forged in small batches, limited runs, each one carrying the proof of where it came from.
