The head is forged from black-finished Italian steel, delivering devastating bite and lasting durability. We seat it onto an American hickory handle the old-fashioned way—driven home with U.S.-made ribbed steel wedges and locked tight with expansive glue. Once it’s in, it’s never coming out. This thing is solid—heirloom solid.
Each one is assembled and finished in-house at Rone Creek, where every strike of the wedge and every pass of the file is done by hand. To protect it, we pair it with a handmade leather sheath, cut and crafted to last as long as the hatchet itself.
